The company was founded by golf industry veterans Bob Barrett and Rob Shults. Together they had one goal – to provide award-winning golf courses, hire dedicated team members who share a passion for golf, and to deliver impeccable personalized service. Bob and Rob’s philosophy is that golf is more than a game! They believe golf builds character, core values, and camaraderie amongst friends, family and colleagues through honorable competition.

Between 1998 and 2014, Honours Golf had continuous growth throughout the Southeast. In 2014, Honours Golf was acquired by Troon®, the global leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing. Troon® has since then provided a world-wide network for Honours Golf Club members – in addition to added experience and expertise in golf course and club management. Honours Golf will forever operate under their five core values and the philosophy that golf is more than a game!
